"An entertaining mix of music but not as expansive as I had hoped it would be. It was fun to see a massive amount of celebrities and former cast members in the audience and doing some introductions. ***Warning Spoiler Alert- ***Post Nirvana with Post Malone singing Smells Like Teen Spirit was the highlight for me. I just read that Malone is putting out an album of Nirvana covers . I had no idea this was a thing but I’m here for it-Although critics are slamming this performance already. I also got a huge kick out of seeing Anna Gasteyer as Martha Stewart introduce Snoop Dogg. I was excited to see Chris Martin (of Coldplay) but was so disappointed that he only played piano for Bonnie Raitt! What ? I guess he’s a solo pianist now (no, really)? Seems like someone could’ve joined Lady Gaga when she sang “Shallow” (but of course she was flawless as always) and I was waiting for Justin Timberlake to pop on stage when she sang “Di*k in A Box” but he never appeared - even during the Lonely Island segment with Andy Samburg . JT where were you? Mumford & Sons singing “The Boxer” was amazing and hearing Jelly Roll sing Johnny Cash was definitely entertaining. Some odd choices, seemed a bit disjointed and some awkward moments but a good watch. I just wish they would’ve incorporated more skits or show call backs into it. "
