"Spoiler alert: This isn't a great horror movie, but it was better than expected. The setting is a college campus where the main character (Justine) is mostly alone due to almost everyone else being away on holiday vacation. This is likely a clever way to make up for not being able to afford a large cast of characters for the movie, but it partly works in the movie's favor, since that also increases the sense of isolation. The motive of the killers isn't entirely believable, but it works to move the story along. The killers are in a cult-like group that looks for "Kristys" to kill as a sacrifice. A Kristy is basically a woman who appears to be pure and beautiful and a follower of Christ. By the time Justine fights back, the fight is so one-sided that the tension of the movie falls off a little. The best parts of the movie are the ones where Justine is being pursued by the cult members. At the end Justine takes on the mantle of Kristy and the post credits scene shows that she has become a vigilante hunting down this cult and saving the Kristys they're preying on. Not every movie needs a post credits scene and a hint at a sequel, and this is likely not a sequel we'll ever see. I for one think that this movie's premise and the idea hinted at by the end of the movie feels like it would work better as a series. If that ever happens, sign me up, but I don't see good reason for a sequel movie at this point. "
"This is one very unexpectedly good horror movie. I picked it at random to watch and I was pretty impressed by the intensity and the overall story.
From the beginning you see that there is a cult that believes that anyone named Kristy must die as they represent Christ and destroying them will kill God. It sounds crazy, and it is, but it's really well done.
I would recommend it. "
