"While the film stays grounded to reality at the beginning as events unfold it feels like the movie becomes a dream sequence Culminating in a conclusion that feels more silly than serious even with the tense subject matter. "

"a fantastically constructed dark academia movie, while also experimental in the best 60's way. it points out the hypocrisy of how boarding school institutions like this invest in unquestioning traditions that inevitably pay off in imperialism, the glorification of war and violence on both the part of the system and its students. there aren't easy answers, and no one in this movie should be valorized (joker and batman fans, i'm looking at you). also? pretty gay."
