"Yes, this flick's racial and sexual politics leave much to be desired for; but I don't watch it for any sort of deep social messages. I watch it because it's a fun nostalgia bomb led by an excellent late-90s ensemble cast (Martha Plimpton! Janeane Garofalo! Angela Featherstone!), a great new wave soundtrack, and a stellar costume department. Christina Ricci and Gaby Hoffmann's accents are a hoot. Paul Rudd is great as usual. Love that moment where Martha Plimpton licks Elvis Costello's glasses."
