"I was surprised how much I got into this musical. It has its flaws, the "romance" if you can call it that between Jack and David's sister was not as developed as it could have been. But despite that and some other minor grips I really did enjoy watching this movie."

"I EFFING LOVE THE NEWSIES. I love the movie, i watched this before the broadway version and don’t get me wrong i love the broadway one but this has to be my all time favorite and this one if my FAVORITE. HAD ME SINGING AT 3AM WITH MY SLEEPING PARENTS CONCERNED. Literally have Santa Fe and Seize the day in all my playlists because of how good the songs are even though it has nothing to do with my playlist. I PUT THEM ON MY GREEK MYTHOLOGY PLAYLIST- THESE SONGS ARE WAY TOO GOOD. IM EVEN LISTENING TO ‘KING OF NEW YORK’ WHILE MAKING THIS REVIEW I’m in the current process of getting my friend into Newsies. Wish me luck"

"Apparently Christian Bale's least favourite and most embarrassing film...this movie is SO GREAT. The soundtrack, Kenny Ortega's choreography, the endless quotable quotes...this has been at the top of my list since I was 10 years old. This movie was the first time I cared about names and was my introduction into knowing all sorts of random specific things about films and following specific actors' careers."
