"This movie took the 1930s mystery of the wax museum, and took pretty much everything that was interesting about it away. In its place, it gave us Vincent price (who is incredibly charming) a slightly better motivation (instead of trying to recreate his old museum he makes grotesqueries bc they sell), and much better film stock. In place of the interesting go-gettum reporter we now have a helpless victim and boring cinematography. Also ten minutes of pointless cancan dancing and paddleballs."
