"7/10 — The story was good: the story of a half-white and half-Indian boy's struggle as a war between the Indian and the white man brews. The acting was the jerky acting of the 60s - good for its time. And of course... Elvis Presley is a dream! It was on of his more serious acting rolls he only sang one song at the beginning. "
"Not your typical Elvis movie. At the beginning I thought this was going to be cheesy musical, similar to Oklahoma… It wound up being a serious western that really showed a surprising (for the time) take on “cowboys & Indians”. It also showcased Elvis’ excellent acting ability. Also a young Barbara Eden in a serious role."
