"I stopped watching after 30 minutes. This movie felt like it had a lot of potential, but it just, missed the mark. I'm sure many people will probably say "oh yeah, you should've watched the whole thing" but if I haven't laughed 30 minutes into a comedy movie, why am I bothering to watch the rest? Don't get me wrong, I'm all for sexual/crude/dark humor, it's not that. It, to me, just wasn't funny. Not to mention the fat jokes were kind of excessive. It was also just reeeeally slow moving. After pausing at 30 minutes, I can't imagine watching for another almost 2 hours. I gave it 2 stars instead of one to give credit where credit is due for a decent plot idea. If you like Adam Sandler, and you don't care about not laughing, you might enjoy this movie, I just didnt."
"A lot of A-list actors and comedians in this Apatow flick. Including his wife Leslie Mann and children Maude and Iris. (You might remember they were also cast in This is 40. Also directed by Apatow.) anyway, this movie is basically how Sandler, a comedian, has cancer. He looks up his lost love, Mann. She’s married now but they have a fling but she realizes what she must do at the end, (without giving it away.) More of a romantic comedy, to me. "
