"This is a fantastic movie of the detective Dee series starring Mark Chao and William Feng. The story revolves around the discovery of humans being turned into sea creatures, and a large sea dragon called the Sea God. The plot has as it's center a young beautiful courtesan and the man that she falls in love with. The mighty Tang dynasty and their court is always the beautiful backdrop of these movies. Essentially, this is an atypical fairytale of a seemingly doomed couple. We see the origins of Detective Dee, how his relationship with royal family began, his friendships, and his enemies. The scale of the action is incredible, the makeup is beautiful, and the story flows so well that I couldn't believe was over. I wanted more. Mandarin Chinese audio."
