Watching the Detectives

"This is a film that is a charming movie, yet has a shout-out, a crazy romance, and one of the most interesting romance dynamics I've ever seen... This is one of the most hilarious films I've seen lately, and it kept me gigging. The two leads carry this film, and they have such a cute romance, and it's an interesting dynamic. Neil, Cillian Murphy's character is a character whom I unfortunately relate to as well as want on my life, and is very fun to watch. Violet, Lucy Liu's character was a little bat-**** crazy, but she was fun to watch, and it was so interesting to see her and Neil interact. Neil's friends were also fun side-chatacters, and I totally would love to be in this world and vibe with these characters. And... Unlike most Rom-Coms, this was far from predictable. This has... A random musical number, Cillian Murphy running around in a cowboy costume in the climax, and plenty of fun film references. It's nice to see Cillian Murphy in a comedy, compared to some of the more serious roles he's famous for. I wouldn't mind watching more rom-coms and indie films if they're like this... Filled with snappy dialogue, endearing characters, and cute romance. 8/10"
