"Underrated. Is it cheesy at times? Yes. Is Orlando Bloom’s American accent mostly terrible? For sure (I love you, Orlando). But this movie has heart. I appreciate Elizabethtown’s unique depiction of the human experience. Life, death. It’s relatable to us all. The dark humor is the cherry on top!"
"I was excited about this movie before it came out, and I couldn't tell you exactly why. Something about the trailers captured my interest. When I saw the movie, I was intensely disinterested and bored. I remember being jerked out of it very early on by the silliness of the high-profile sneaker failure and by the Burton-esque Rube Goldberg device that Orlando Bloom builds. The last 15-20 minutes did a very small amount to redeem the film. "

"There’s a lot of rich emotion in this movie. It reminds me that joy takes time. It is a collection of small good moments dispersed in really hard times and at the end, his pain doesn’t end but he finds meaning in his loss. It’s beautiful and I LOVE the soundtrack. With family from the south it feels like going home."
"Heartfelt, uplifting, and American!"
