"A lot of potential for poignant social commentary wasted. Life in the high rise crumbles due to structural issues that seemingly rise from no where and through the negligence of no one. Too many characters who are underdeveloped, too many plot holes gaping noticeably to suspend your disbelief of the sheer disconnect from reality experienced by the tenants, and too many plot lines left drifting in the wind for the lackluster violence fest the movie pitches towards at whiplash speed. No matter what pithy quote they had cut in at the end (apropo of nothing, mind you), the narrative itself free falls through its story with seemingly no intention of actually proving the point it claims to make."
"This movie is a slow burn that takes a straight path from beginning to end. There aren't a lot of likable characters. The dystopia background is a bit nebulous. That said, there are plenty of worse sci-fi offerings. You've been warned. Now, drive past that and kill some time with a simple story."
"It’s a little confusing, but that could just be me. It’s a good though. "
