"Equal parts an astounding sleight of hand magic act, a raconteur stage show and a history lesson, this filmed Ricky Jay performance really grabbed me. This surprised me because I’m not really interested in “magic” but seeing someone do anything at this high of a level is always fascinating. Originally filmed as an HBO special in the mid-90s, by his frequent film collaborator David Mamet, I don’t think this has had any official distribution, of any kind, after its initial run on the network. It is on YouTube and at only 60 minutes, it is a quick and rewarding watch. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FtgUSUHnzLI&pp=ygUfcmlja3kgamF5IGFuZCBoaXMgNTIgYXNzaXN0YW50cw%3D%3D"
