"This was very funny but for a movie starring Robin Williams, could it be anything less? It was a cute movie but at its core it was a movie about family and forgiveness and I really enjoyed it. The only thing I couldn’t wrap my head around is why Boyd left the rest of Douglas’ gifts at home? Like the rest of the kids get all these gifts and Douglas only gets one? Make it make sense. A great quick holiday watch otherwise!"
"A Merrry Friggin' Christmas is a half-hour sitcom episode stretched out into a feature length film. Even though the film's runtime is mercifully short it still feels about 50 minutes too long. The film isn't sure whether it wants to be an R-rated dark comedy or a sweet family Christmas movie and it instead settles directly in the middle for halfhearted results. It's also a depressing waste of Robin William's talent and the film is almost unwatchable when you realize that this was the final months of his life."
"As far as holiday movies go, this was actually pretty good. I love Robin Williams and Joel McHale, so that is already a decent start. Not all happy or romantic comedy rubbish like most other “newer” family holiday films, this one has a bit of an edge. In a great way. If you’re looking for a Christmas movie that you haven’t seen a million times, you should absolutely try this one"
