"I love Kurt Russell and this movie just demonstrates why. He's a respected law man but a good man. He puts himself out there to help people and well I'm not fond of the end. The other actors were excellent. Matthew Fox , Patrick Wilson, Richard Jenkins hold up to their fearless leader well. Watch it but beware of some gruesome scenes. "

"This was fairly good western, but there were so many pieces of the puzzle missing. Character development? Nonexistent. Anyway, for what this swiss cheese 🧀 plot was, men going in search of a kidnapped woman, it was alright. It was cool seeing Kurt Russell in a western."

"I'm not a huge fan of Westerns but this movie is one of the few exceptions. And that is because of the writer/director. S.Craig Zahler is a master of his craft. I'm a fan of everything that he has done so far. His characters have a grittiness that is based in reality even when the story is taken to extreme situations. Extremely violent and definitely not for the squeamish, but not done in a cheesy way. Also very well acted by a well rounded cast. I give it 9/10."
