"I like this one because it's very clever and interesting. I am also biased towards liking Jane Austen stories. It's been forever since I read Lady Susan so I don't know how close it is to the book. I know Lady Susan is a pariah of a horrible character and this movie does not disappoint in the general genius of her mean character and her manipulation of others. It's a little slow getting. Something I read interesting about the making of this movie is that it was low budget and all the costumes were sewn for the movie. I find that impressive. The costumes and wigs are beautiful.
******spoilers****************************One self centered character is stupid (not knowing what peas are ) and in general is very entertaining. I like to follow that stupid and silly character and watch the expressions on his face. Lady Susan is really a genius mean spirited character and you will root for her daughter to not "honor her mother." I think the story itself is genius and you root for the main character to fail more and more as the storyline goes. It does leave a sour taste in my mouth though. I just enjoy the movie while trying not to get absorbed in it."
"This movie was SO funny. The ending was a bit more rushed than you might like but the whole vibe was just very casual and very humorous. "
