"Paul Muni does a fantastic job playing the role of a man wrongly convicted of armed robbery. His range of emotion and outrage at this justice is perfectly conveyed. His character, Allan, is sent to a prison with a chain⛓️ gang of prisoners, in the worst of conditions, and learns how to live. What happens when he tries to escape? The acting is great, and shows how harsh the criminal justice system can be when people are treated without fairness and kindness. Can you still learn to hope?"
