"Patrick Wilson and Jessica Biel star in this bizarre murder mystery that seems to highlight its own strangeness. The basic plot is that we as the viewer must try to use the clues given to us on screen to figure out if the main character is indeed an adulterer and murderer. At least, to me, this almost seemed too simple, and a few actors were wasted in the attempt of a clever period movie. The acting was passable, and the last act fell completely flat. Too bad. At some point in this movie, there was a sign of a once intelligent script that must have suffered from a writer giving up and going on to write another movie instead. 😢"
"I was very disappointed with this movie."
