"Looking for a realistic detective? Here is one. If you don’t know Paul Newman, he is just one of the great actors of all time. This movie is good but nowhere his best. And it’s very 70s. This is not a detective that can beat up 10 guys and stand there with a cool line. The movie gives you a feel for being a real private investigator. It’s a 70 movies so there has to be something tragic in the ending, but a very different feel from most of the movies made today "
