"I feel like most people who love classic John Wayne movies would love this. I understand I was raised in a different time, by this didn't hit the mark for me. This felt a little longer and more drawn out than it needed to be. When the movie first started, I thought it was going to be a romance focused around the main character's daughter and the coworker, in the backdrop of firefighting, maybe with a little hint of family drama. That sounded interesting. Then, it randomly decided to marry those two together, making the movie entirely about family drama. The conflict? Women shouldn't be present at fires (even if they're a safe distance away). Again, I understand - different times. Different society. But still, the conflict was somewhat boring, the scenes were too drawn out. However, I thought this was funny at parts and had some cool fire special effects."
