"The beginning and ending of the movie was good, but the whole middle of the film was not it for me. I was excited for this movie since I liked the first one as a kid growing up, but in this new movie they took so many steps back from the first film and ruined her character development from the first film."

"Giselle brings the rest of her fairy tale magic to our world this time. However, things go wrong and a new hero must emerge. I loved the first one so of course the second one was family filled fun! Lots more singing and I really liked the plot they went with for Giselle in this sequel. Cuddle with up with the kiddoes and enjoy!"
"It's not what I hoped, but it is good. Enchanted was always something special that threw cliches to the wind and enhanced them. It was one of the first satires Disney truly accomplished. Then when I heard it's sequel was going to throw away the happily ever after I lost all hope for it to be good.
Then I watched it. It was incredibly predictable. It's definitely not the best or the best sequel but it is fulfilling.
I salute the fact that they managed to scround up all the actors. Well except the henchmen from the first movie.
At first I was truly mad they were doing the grumpy annoying teen thing. But then it got better. I mean she had clear reasons to be upset I just hated the feeling of them pushing that cliche on her.
The cinematography is truly incredible as well. So many shots are stunning. As well as the magical effects and just straight effects. You can tell the budget was high.
Except for those outfits at the end. I could see the effort in them and could tell they had drive when making them but they were too much. Most of them were just straight up ugly.
The only bad thing I truly have with it is the ending. Yes it was incredibly predictable but not in a good way.
Honestly Edward could've been in the ending. He just needed to get knocked out somehow then it would've worked. Instead they threw him to the side to be convenient. Lazy writing. They still could've had the Morgan part which we all knew was coming, the writers just needed to be a bit more creative.
Despite all the critiques though it was a decent movie on its own. Some characters clearly had bigger parts due to recent successes and other characters were needlessly pushed to the side for women empowerment.
I do enjoy the memories have power and they avoided the true love part. I liked that for the first movie & the memories for this one.
I do recommend you watching it if you liked Enchanted. But don't expect greatness, just enjoy the ride & try not to cringe at the early songs. "
"Not quite reaches the heights of first film, but fun watch nevertheless. Amy Adams and especially Maya Rudolph MVP."
