Spidarlings

"Shocktober 2024: I'll have you know, I've been meaning to watch this movie for years and this year gave up and bought it on a Blu-Ray that immediately broke my PS4's ability to read disks because I accidently put it in while something else was already in there... over Spidarlings. Spidarlings is a TROMA musical. As far as TROMA musicals go, Cannibal the Musical is still the best, but it's got some trade off with Poultrygeist in terms of quality. It doesn't have the cavilcade of racist jokes and gross out humor of Poultrygeist but has a worse effects budget and less coherent story. I also like the music in Spidarling's better but that comes down to personal taste (and the Poultrygeist theme is still a banger). There's a mix of film school nonsense and b-movie nonsense in Spidarlings. The b-movie nonsense worked better for the type of movie this is than the film school nonsense. I'm overall not mad I bought this even though I probably won't be recommending it to too many people."
