"This is a surprisingly tense psychological thriller. I say that because although there are only one or two locations in the movie, they are played out so well that you feel the characters aching anxiety and desperation to flee the situation they find themselves in. The acting was good, but it was also bittersweet to see Anton Yelchin (Star Trek's [2009] Chekov) in one of his last films. It was also surprising and refreshing to see Patrick Stewart in a role that was completely different from his usual projects. (Another Star Trek connection! Captain Picard and the newer Chekov in a film together.)"
"Yea man I remember that the Neo-Nazis got a few strongholds in the Pacific Northwest (USA). That’s why this movie was such a great horror film because I see it happening in real life. Professor X is definitely a great villain. His words hold no malice only cold calculations on how to frame the situations in a way that benefits himself. Would watch again and recommend. "
"In truth, there’s nothing WRONG with this movie but it’s just mediocre. They didn’t build up any suspense and none of the scares hit like they should’ve. The movie had good bones of a good horror movie, with a decent premise and good cast (I’ve always been a fan of Anton Yelchin and Alia Shawkat), but the execution was off. The neo-nazis spoke monotone the entire time making the scenes have no urgency and I didn’t know enough about the main characters to really care what happened to them. The real downsides of this movie was the script and how short it was. If they had lengthened it to add a bit more depth and suspense, then it probably would’ve been pretty good."
"The Green Room is Anxiety inducing and Horrifying, what makes it so Horrific is that it’s not that far from real life. Of course this movie is tragic and really hard to sit through sometimes but for me thats what makes it so great but for others I understand it being way to much so enter with Extreme caution! The performance are amazing and I can’t say I’ve ever been scared of Patrick Stewart tell I watched this movie. Haha "
"This movie was a really good refreshment towards the horror genre in general. It’s one then doesn’t hold back and you may hear that a lot but it really stands by that. No character is safe and every character is injured or killed.(except for the dogs I guess) I really liked the group of friends I thought they were all like able. I also liked that the setting is very limited and their not running across a huge forest or something. The actors were great. I also really enjoyed the bands songs."
