"Very David Lynchian, but really pre-Lynch, since this was filmed in 1980, and he was mostly known for Eraserhead at that point. Kathryn Bigelow co-wrote and co-directed this (her directorial debut), starring Willem Dafoe in his feature film debut. This movie really reminded me of Twin Peaks, especially the biker scenes and the rockabilly soundtrack. There is not much of a plot…but what it lacks in substance, it makes up for in style.
