"You don’t see this method of creative expression very often for an adult audience. The characters are bizarre in their own ways and the only thing that totally drew me out was the alien impregnation scenario. I could’ve done without that, but it went along with the downward spiraling of the protagonist’s self-induced trauma response rabbit hole."
