"Intense story told through multiple interweaving character arcs. Helpful and sad reminders of some rough times in US and world history, and some still present today. "

"I've been meaning to watch Mudbound for a long time and I'm glad I finally got to it. It's brutal and tragic, but it is a must watch. The first act of the movie drags a bit, but it's worth sticking around for the rest. Everything one is great in their roles, but Jason Mitchell as Ronsel and Garrett Hedlund as Jamie are the stand outs. It's not often you see a WWII film that focuses on this aspect of history, but it needs to be remembered."
"What a great movie . Some parts brutal to watch . Love Mary J Blige and Carrie Mulligan! Want to read the book now ! "

"For what it is, this is a well made film. I hate that even now, stories of decent Black folks are mainly told through the horrific lens of America's racist south. I hate seeing these stories now because I've hit my threshold for watching my people be abused for occidental entertainment. "
