"The Amell cousins, Stephen and Robbie star in this sci-fi action movie about powered people. When the lead character realizes he has powers, he must decide how to use them, yet keep his family safe in a world that doesn't understand power it cannot control. The acting is good, and the world building is intelligent. There are a few fairly good action scenes."
"Set in a world where people with power have awakened the government adds robots in tandem with police operations to keep those with powers in check, as one man with the power of electricity who works with a gang to get the money he needs for an medical treatment for his mother! Worth watching as the lead works to get himself out of a situation that should’ve been a quick in and out get deeper as the hours go."
"A solid film with some interesting writing"

"If you like the boys and you're tired of mindless disney superhero garbage check this movie out. Based off a short film this movie delivers in intensity, tension, action and more. I really have been enjoying the superhero stuff that isn't Marvel or DC. They haven't hit the mark in years."
"I recently watched this for the second time to get ready for the sequel and it's better than I'd remembered, however, I felt like it was missing something. I love that its plot is "The Incredibles" mixed with "X-Men" where superhumans have to go into hiding and are even considered a part of the lower-class because the rest of society fears their potential. With a synopsis like that, I'm already hooked and invested in the story as a sci-fi and superhero fan. This film's dark, straightforward, and clever with all of the characters, their abilities, and everything that drives them. There were cool effects in many of the scenes and Stephen and Robbie Amell's acting was great, don't get me wrong, but I do wish that it had a bigger budget -or maybe lost its connection to Netflix- because it could've been AMAZING. I'd give it more watches in the future largely because the superhuman abilities were presented well and different from other films out there. The ending could've packed more of a punch since it kind of seemed anticlimactic and a little predictable. I just wanted to see more originality to it. Overall, I'd give this a 7.5/10 🖤 I still prefer this first movie than the second!"
