Stranger Than Paradise

"Obviously heavily influenced by Aki Kaurismäki, this is a masterpiece and possibly my favorite Jim Jarmusch film. I love the way it's cut, lingering just a little too long between awkward silences. This helps to perpetuate a feeling of isolation that pervades the movie. Almost nothing happens and it's questionable whether there is any growth or anything is ever resolved."
