Errementari: The Blacksmith and the Devil

"Okay, this movie just makes me want to learn Euskara even more! I love the north side of Spain into Basque Country. Seeing this foreign film was interesting and I thought the thing about demons not being able to resist counting chickpeas is an interesting folklore. The movie was so-so but I did like the concept of the story and how they depicted their version of what demons and hell looks like. The effects and design of the scenes were interesting and I think demonstrate pretty well what people of that time period might have thought hell looks like. *Spoiler alert* I did hate how some people basically insensitively verbally bullied the young girl throughout the whole movie which led her to willingly wanting to give up her life so she could be with her mom in hell since they said that’s where her mom went because of suicide."
