"This movie is about 2 addicts- the son who is addicted to drugs, and his enabler mom who is addicted to the chaos in her son's life. It makes you feel like you're trapped in that hopeless, endless addiction cycle, which if you've broken out of it you know you don't want to go back. I wish the movie would've touched on the mother's addiction also and showed that there are useful treatment options for them both. It is possible to love someone to death. This movie left me feeling hollow and anxious."
"Extremely relatable if you struggle with substance abuse disorder. The end was intense and just not good in my opinion. But Julia Roberts is incredible as an anxious mother who has been through the ringer with her heroin addicted son, but still exudes a sense of hope that is palpable to the audience #opiodepidemic #drama #reality "
