"Amazing movie. Raw, realistic, well acted, of course, its Al Pacino. He plays Bobby. Kitty Winn plays Helen. Helen could have been my Mom. My birth parents were also heroin dealer/addicts in NYC around this time, but we lived on the Lower East Side. When Helen first hangs out in that apartment with Bobby and his junkie friends, I'm thinking: "This guy's no Jimi Hendrix or Jim Morrison, why sex and drugs with no Rock n' Roll?" But then I realize, she's looking to score something."
