"April and Clara come to be bonded for life with the world’s sweetest (pun intended!) friendship, but there’s one minor problem standing in the way: April formerly dated Clara’s now boyfriend, Nick. The way they meet is messy to say the least and it all happens behind Nick’s back as they secretly frolic around town and find all types of fun together. April is a no-nonsense, authentic girl with an underlying sensitivity while Clara is an open, energetic, confidence-oozing-over blonde. What they both have in common is trying to find their way, however hard and uphill of a battle it may be. They struggle for purpose along the way and crave independence to blaze their own trails. While some moments are a little bit overly crude, I mostly enjoyed this taking me on a ride punctured with color and emotional ups and downs. As I learned, along with the characters, that sometimes a genuine friendship wins the day and endures above all else. In most instances, a good laugh and emotional vent session are all we need and where the closest, most intimate types of relationships stem from. To share yourself and forgo all the pretense can be all kinds of beautiful and this movie is an undying testament to that! "
"This and Booksmart are two of my favorite "best friend" movies, I watch both at least once a week (I won't lie, lately it's been two or three times a week 😂😂). I love both movies because the characters are very relatable, I see my best friend and myself in both sets of girls when we were in high school 💜"
