"Wow. This movie was a wild ride. SPOILERS: There’s some tonal problems- the music sounds like it should be from a G-rated production, but there’s frank discussion of molestation, racial slurs, racism, blood, and multiple violent murders. The acting was often hammy and overdone, the special effects were on par with the BBC Narnia TV series, but there’s a surprising sweetness to the family of characters and an extremely effective scary scene in a car. This movie surprised us with its accurate depiction of the pattern of pedophilia."
"This movie is set in the Fall and Winter of the 60s. A little boy is left in the school closet and sees a ghost. He watches as she is murdered by an unknown subject then he is attacked. Ghosts and murder mystery and a curse all must be solved before closure can be achieved. Cast includes Katherine Helmond, a young Lukas Haas, among others. Must see for Halloween my whole family has watched it but not for the littles. IDK if on Netflix or Hulu"
"This movie is a trip! Murder,Italian stereo types and racism all rolled into one. Occasionally the boy has an inner monolog from the prospective of his older self and it makes this movie feel like a cross between A Christmas Story but with murder! Dont know if I'd necessarily recommend it but be in for a ride if you decide to watch it."
