"This Scottish production stars Angus McFadyen as Robert the Bruce, Anna Hutchinson, Zach McGowan and other Scottish actors. The movie is mostly about Robert 's fight with the English to gain independence for Scots, and his internal fight regarding whether he could truly unite the Scottish nation and be a strong leader. The storyline is about events that may have led to the Battle of Bannockburn. Even in snowy conditions, the Scottish countryside looked beautiful and verdant. I enjoyed seeing the story of a hardworking, strong and happy family that was the backbone of what became a united Scotland under Robert the Bruce in the 14th century. "
