"This film has its moments - Matron Morton was funny, Ginger Rogers as Roxie was pretty charming, and the trial scene was actually really good - but, overall, its the worst adaptation/version of Chicago. Due to the Hays Code, Roxie didn't actually commit the murder in this version, which kinda goes against one of the central themes of the source material. Also, this film includes blatant racism. If you're a Chicago superfan like me, by all means, watch this, but, if not, I'd recommend the 1927 Chicago silent film and the 2002 musical film instead, they are much better representations of this story."
