"I don’t think anything could have lived up to the first one just because of how original and unique it is. But it is a solid sequel and definitely worth a watch if you enjoyed Kick-ass. "

"A good follow up to the original, albeit a little less plot-strong. There's a few fun action sequences, the same fun dialogue as the first movie, and admittedly some unneeded additions (i.e. characters without real meaning/importance/arcs). But overall I think this movie is entertaining and wraps up the story nicely. I love that Hit Girl is basically an equal to Kick Ass in this movie (if not the main character). I would have preferred a little more information on Colonel Stars' story, which would've made me care more about his whole storyline. Also, the removal of Dave's girlfriend from the movie was a little haphazard and random (especially considering Dave spent 50% of the first movie chasing after her). If I'm being nitpicky, I would've added even more action/violence to it, especially from Kick Ass's perspective. That being said, the movie was funny, weirdly lighthearted, and a little darkly gross. For the most part, it is what I wanted from a sequel. P.S. I wasn't as bothered by the Hit Girl x Kick Ass mini-romance as everyone else was. TBH, I wish there was a spin off of Hit Girl's story (even in TV show form). I would watch that. "
"The first one was definitely better but I think the plot was good."
