"A origin story of Madame Webb which I recall first seeing on the series in the 90’s, though the storyline need more work and the film was given more potential characters rather then centering on the main character and her journey! The actress’s and actors were good as well as the nod to another heroes origin, some should have been hinted at for a later sequel."
"This movie should not have been green lit from the very start. It is obviously just an attempted cash grab for Sony, who I guess has been left with lame characters from the Spiderman universe. The character Madame Web from the comics is a blind, paraplegic old woman that is a mutant. A lower tier supporting character who was used sparingly throughout Spiderman's long history. Not deserving of a stand alone movie. Sony desperately tried to change her back story in an attempt to create something of a superhero they can cash in on and failed miserably. No fault to any of the actors and actresses involved, but the writers and producers should be ashamed. Glad I didn't pay to see this in the theater. 3/10"
"This movie definitely had a lot more potential. The story was the only thing I found relatively interesting - specifically when she first is discovering she can see the future, those scenes were rather cool - and even then, pieces of it felt kinda awkward (though I did appreciate the nudge to spiderman). The most bothersome thing for me was the speech patterns, especially that of the villain, every time he came on screen I wanted him to just shut up, it was so annoying and didn't fit the movie at all, I'm not sure why they had the character portrayed that way. Dakota Johnson's character was also strange, but I was able to forgive it more because her character was supposed to be awkward in general, but even so I had a couple other problems with her character too. And lastly, considering this was Madame Web's origin story, I personally felt there was more to be explained, cause whatever was shown at the very beginning was kinda the only explanation we got but so many years went by in between the "incident" and her actual becoming Madame Web, so what took so long? Unfortunately, 2/5🕸️🚑"
"A mess that will at least keep your attention. Sony basically rushed to make this as soon as Tom Holland said he wanted Madame Web in a Spider-Man movie.
She would have been perfect in the end of No Way Home when Peter felt his most alone. This is another just decent Sony Spider-Man side character movie. Made for the hell of it."
"The audio and the lip movement weren’t correct in some scenes and overall this movie was bad I managed to sit through it, but don’t recommend it also Dakota’s acting is just poor like come on this ain’t Fifty Shades of Grey. "

"I have mixed feelings about this one. 😕
So this is an introduction movie to another marvel character, madam web, right? So why is the story incomplete? 🤔
The concept is brilliant, the acting was good but the plot is messed up and story is incomplete. They left sooooo many things unexplained. Compare the movie to the debut of Spiderman or Dr.stange and you will know what I mean. I didn't like that at all. And honestly story could have been better, much better, like the origin of the villain, is not included!
I think you need to watch as potentially she will be in Spider-man, but if you know the comics then you can skip this one.
