"So there’s five movies in this series, all directed by and starring the same duo. The first trilogy was from 2012-2014. The second two are a two parter in 2021. They’re all pretty good samurai style action movies. All have top notch production, great stunts and are generally really cool looking movies. But it’s this one, the most recent, that is hands down the best. It’s a prequel, so if five sounds like too much you can just watch this one. You don’t even have to watch part one. It shifts tones dramatically from all the others and is much more violent. It’s super long, with about an hour long romance in the middle that, you know, I really dug. But it’s the fight scenes that sandwich it. Just absolutely fantastic. "
"This one is a decent Live-Action adaptation, The anime Ova is better of course. The actor playing Kenshin was born for the role, this one is kind of story driven not a ton of action scenes. Not sure how many Kenshin movies there are but I think I have to watch The Final I think that's what it's called."
