"I was curious to watch this one, knowing that Sylvester Stallone would be absent from it all together. This definitely has a different feel to it from the other movies in the Creed franchise and the Rocky universe. A couple of notes, first I didn't care for the Felix Chavez character that is supposed to be Adonis Creed's successor to the heavyweight crown... He is waaaay too small to be a heavyweight. Also it seems way too early for Creed to be retiring from boxing, doesn't make sense. And thirdly, it seemed almost sacrilegious to have Rocky's uplifting theme music playing in the background after Creed's win over Daim, just didn't seem right. By the way, Jonathan Majors did a great job as the villain. I enjoyed the movie overall, but feel it could have been better if Sly was involved, even in the smallest way. 8/10"
"It was good. Better than the 2nd, not as good as the first, which is a top 3 boxing movie of all time. Formulaic, with one exception. The fight scenes (and there wasn’t one the first hour) were really cool, how they filmed them. On a side note, I only go to an actual theater 3/4 times a year and only if I’m super excited for a specific movie. They have a new theater here with the huge screen and actual recliner seats. I had never been to one. $19. I was shocked. Glad I did it, and it was cool, but won’t ever again. I bring it up because I’m bummed I used one of my theater trips on this. "
"7/10 - Okay… I might be a bit biased here because this is, unfortunately, my first and only Creed movie I’ve ever watched but I am a little disappointed with this film. The trailer showing more of thriller film rather than motivational film (I suppose)? The story is lacking more information on the characters emotions and why they felt the way that they did, some things didn’t add up, or just wasn’t realistic. A bit disappointed with this movie overall, I’m also not a boxing fan but I learned something! GREAT CAST!!!"
"This one was a tough watch. Do you like or hate the bad guy? He was dealt a bad hand, but still the way he acted. The imagery in the last fight was powerful. Without that look in the psyche, the fight was rather silly. If you took out the music and just left their squeaky gloves, I bet it would be hilarious. They are just growling at each other. "
"Great movie! You could feel the connection/bond between the two main characters. "

"I never been scared of a little contact. I’m going out how I came in. – Adonis
Film opens with a Dr. Dre beat from The Chronic 2001, 🤌🏼. Then eventually the full song drops in 🤌🏼🤌🏼 Cheat code to put me in a good mood from the get go. Mind you this is Micheal B Jordan’s debut directorial. He really showed us that he’s also much more then a talented actor. Johnathan Majors is such a phenomenal actor. I first noticed how talented he was on Lovecraft Country. (HBO really dropped the ball canceling after one stellar season)I really hate how his name came up in these allegations that were literally dropped the very next day by a women with mental issues. I feel like he was really getting his recognition but when somebody puts something like that on your name even if it’s false it still has lasting effects on a man’s career. He’s such a commanding presence on screen. Would have been nice to have even more of him. The boxing matches are depicted with a good amount of visual flair and always plenty of energy. The final fight in particular is rather unique in it’s portrayal. It’s one of the best boxing scenes ever. Instead of a fight montage for with bell rings to signify each passing round, we something very different (I won’t say what it is, you’ll notice it though) I honestly enjoyed this much more than I anticipated. This isn’t something that happens often but I honestly feel this was the best one in the whole franchise. It’s easily better than the sequel and I edged it over the original. I know that might sound like blasphemy to say something is better than the original Creed but it’s how I feel. That’s definitely the last thing any hardcore Rocky fans want to hear especially because Sylvester Stallone didn’t appear in this installment. Still I believe if your a fan it’s plenty to like here."
