"What is a 1970s Barbra Streisand movie doing on this list alongside 1940s B&W screwball comedies? This movie is a hilarious love letter to those films, borrowing a bit of plot from “Bringing Up Baby” and scenes and character-types from the others. Like those movies, it’s all about the sharp dialogue (add great cast, 70’s San Francisco backdrop). I’ve run into other rabid fans over the years who could quote most of this one. A desert/island disk for me.- they can’t/shouldn’t all be Citizen Kane."
