"I have the same issue with this one as I do with Cabin 28, it feels like they took the general basis of the story (or conspiracy in this instance I suppose) and totally stretched it out. Once again, I understand that they don't have much to work with but they made it seem cultist and it doesn't really feel like it's related to the real conspiracy whatsoever. If I separate it from the conspiracy it's supposed to be based on and look at it as its own story, its better but still just not that great"
"This movie was bad in so many ways I would run out of characters to type it all. It was in bad taste first of all considering this is supposed to be to be sort of based on real life tragedies, and also it's very clear that they had so little to actually work with in terms of material that they turned it into a slasher... If they wanted to go with the angle that the smiley face killings were all real and connected then they could have followed the Zodiac in the same manner of how they went about their script. They could have followed the real life people that truly believe that these cases of drowning are connected and their struggles to get others to believe as well. That would have been far more interesting than this. This was like a 12 year old who sort of heard of the true story and decided to mix it with Friday the 13th."
"This movie disturbed me. Because I think #RonenRubinstein is one of the most incredible Human beings on the planet I gave it a thumbs up. Not just his looks I'm in awe of what an awesome Human being he is, so maybe it disturbed me more because of that. Not sure. Anyway, if you're in the mood for watching based on a true story, that will creep you to the core. Then this is the movie to do that. "
"I don’t know what movie these other 2 commenters were watching but I don’t think it was this one… they are both literally just talking about how hot the main actor was… this movie hardly had a plot at all. Extremely random and hardly related to the true crime it was supposedly inspired by. Incredibly slow, doesn’t make you invested in any of the victims. The highlight of the movie were the random brief appearances by Cody Simpson … "
