Lorelei Lee is a beautiful showgirl engaged to be married to the wealthy Gus Esmond, much to the disapproval of Gus' rich father, Esmond Sr., who thinks that Lorelei is just after his money. When Lorelei goes on a cruise accompanied only by her best friend, Dorothy Shaw, Esmond Sr. hires Ernie Malone, a private detective, to follow her and report any questionable behavior that would disqualify her from the marriage.

"My gosh! This film is so funny and right up my alley! I cannot believe it took me this long to watch it! Of course Marilyn Monroe is dynamite in this! After all, her performance of “Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend” is legendary, but I need to hear more noise about Jane Russell! She was incredible as Dorothy and her and Marilyn had phenomenal chemistry. This was just a fun movie and loved every bit of it!"
"I love Marilyn in all of her movies, especially when she plays "dumb blonde" characters (cause she was so smart in real life, she chose these characters for fun), and her voice and everything is just beautiful! I love older movies as well, just because they're more simple than a lot of movies today, imo"
"This movie is hilarious. Marilyn is the OG blonde bimbo as Lorelei Lee. Costumes are amazing. 4/5"
