Something to Sing About

"This movie gives us a rare glimpse at James Cagney's ability to sing and dance. William Frawley of "I Love Lucy" is perfectly casted as Cagney's manager. Cagney's character, Rooney, leaves the life of song and dance to come to Hollywood and make movies. There a few funny moments during his screen tests on his path to fame. There is a bit of diversity seen in the Japanese actor and Black actress who only have a few lines, but it was enjoyable to see for this era. I really enjoyed watching this film."
