"I’m gonna do more research for sure and also see if there are any reviews from Filipino people out there - but from the eye of someone who is uneducated on most Filipino culture, I think it’s pretty well done. And I know that factory fires like in the film have happened before. I think for the most part this movie did a good job of bringing awareness to some of the horrors in the fast fashion industry. Some of the effects made me giggle, like the fire, but for the most part, I think this is a must watch for horror fans, or fans of all the different “witchy” cultures from around the world. I think it’s also essential that they depicted a POC as a forager, that’s a part of a lot of cultures that has somewhat been lost over time due to time and also cultural assimilation. 4/5 stars. Great casting too. "
