"Yes, this is a David Fincher movie. Yes, it's intense. You can't help but want to see what Fassbender's character does next.
@DJCount I got ALL of the references. Fassbender reminds me of an ex and that's chilling. Tilda Swinton cameo... Wait for it. I enjoyed this way too much. My dark, dry, sarcastic sense of humor enjoys Fincher. Recommended. "
"It's no surprise that a David Fincher movie would be so grim, but The Killer takes itself too seriously, leaving no room at all for any comic relief. The only thing that barely qualifies is that all his aliases are TV characters from sitcoms, like Felix Unger and Lou Grant.
It's not a bad movie, I was just hoping for more. There is a pacing issue, but this one plays more like a character study than an action movie, so I can overlook that. I wasn't bored, but I wasn't on the edge of my seat either. This one's not going to be for everyone. 7/10"

"As a big David Fincher fan who made two of my all time favorite films I loved this from beginning to end."

"Basically a somewhat self-narrated story about a hit man who kills anyone to maintain his anonymity after he goofs up on one of his contracts. On a personal level I wasn't a fan of his character but it was the unexpected unfolding of events and the acting that I felt deserved a solid rating."
"This movie sucked 😒 like they took John Wick and Taken and combined them then decided to remove all the actual interesting part and add narration and make it a bedtime story that was mind numbing. I love the main actor cause he got talent but this movie and director and story is just 0 stars, I can't claim those couple of hours wasted from my life back, that bad!"
"I would give this 2.5 stars. It was too long. Not because of the run time, but because it had too much repetition and exposition. The first 30 minutes of the movie could have been cut down to 7 minutes. There was a fight scene that I thought was awesome and a good office scene. I get what it was supposed to be but I didn't like it."
"4.5/5*s
Ever wonder what the inner dialog of a hired assassin is like? Then this is your movie. You are basically listening in on a private conversation between a hitman and his inner self. You will hear all of his rules, such as "Stick to your plan" and "Anticipate, don't improvise" or "Forbid empathy. Empathy is weakness." The entire movie is his inner monolog. It's like a day in the life but more like a week or three, not sure.
What happens when plans don't go as...well, planned? Let's find out! Ok, I already know but you should find out. I loved following him on his journey and seeing how meticulous he is in everything he does. I won't tell you what his self-imposed mission is but it was carried out perfectly. Some people think this movie is slow. It can be but I don't think that takes anything away from it. Someone said it was formulaic but I found it unique and interesting. You can't please everyone. You should decide for yourself. It's worth the watch even if you don't love it. There is enough good, you should at least like it.
The ending was kinda anticlimactic but I thought it was in a good way. I can't say more or I'll spoil it. Just watch it already!"
