""Recommended" is a strange term for this. I don't know who I'd actually recommend this too. I personally found the act of watching it excruciating. I have a very close relationship to the subject matter so in order to give someone the same experience I had I'd have to factor that in. Then I'd have to ask who, besides me, would even want that experience. This feels like the movie I and literally zero other people wished The Taking of Deborah Logan was. A slow, torturous journey through dealing with a family members dementia. No fun Demon effects and goofy jump scares just the worst of my personal experiences watching a family member slowly die mixed with a dash of Requiem for a Dream for good measure. I don't even know if I could tell you I found any catharsis but I found heavy emotion and had an experience."
