"I'm not gonna lie. I was very leery watching this movie after listening to a lot of people's reviews. I was pleasantly surprised at the casting, especially DianneWiest! I thought it was well done, it was shot perfectly, and a worthy prequel to Rosemary's Baby! The end credit scene was the icing on the cake"
"Loved this prequel to Rosemary Baby. Dianne Weist (Minnie) homage to Ruth Gordon was excellent. The cinematography & 60s aesthetics were spot on. I wont give to much of the story away, just a note of interest, the Lullaby song played at the beginning & ending of Rosemary’s Baby was sung by leading actress Mia Farrow. The composer called the music Slavic Jazz. He used traditional polish folk music bases. I read that “la” means fear in proto slavic languages. LA is also the lowest tone on the musical scale. This “la” melody or gregorian chant is also used in The Amityville Horror & The Omen. 5/5 "
"this was quite good! the only issue i had with it really is that i wish it lined up better towards the end with the beginning of rosemary's baby. it was quite close, and i may be just nit-picking, but i think that attention to detail (clothing, hair, time of day, etc) would have made those parts a bit more entertaining."
