"Twins Lukas and Elias are happy to visit their mother for the first time since their parents divorce two years ago. Atop their excitement they are baffled to find that their mother’s face is hidden due to a recent procedure. As nights pass they notice this is not the only thing that has changed, with nothing else to do the twins investigate discovering a dark turn of events. I truly enjoyed this movie it had a heart wrenching twist and kept me very intrigued!"
"Kid tripping balls over his mom being a black tar human-shaped mass and her being someone else. Let me ask why the **** did they not get their kid therapy if all of this was known and had happened? Like this screams of knowing he's mentally ill and doing nothing about it. The mom was definitely expressing bipolar or post partem energy and abusive so I don't know why it's playing her as a good person when she's not helping her son. Great movie but too many twists and way too much neglect for my taste."
"Very well-done movie. Definitely has "The Sixth Sense" vibes to the movie. At first, I questioned why the father was dropping off his sons, as well as why we weren't getting the answer to that but blown away by how the movie was written and played out. If you ever watched The Sixth Sense, you will truly love this movie."

"I love Naomi Watts and the acting in this movie was superb, however I could not stand the way the characters handled the events. I get what the movie was trying to bring attention to however, in my opinion, it missed the mark completely. SPOILERS past this point **************************** So from a mental health context, a LOT of the events were problematic AF. Mental health is extremely important and the child should have gotten high level trauma competent treatment especially being the son of a wealthy and famous movie star and the context of the trauma. As a mental health professional, the parents would have been mandatorily included in the child’s treatment if there had been that extensive level of trauma. There also would have been multiple levels of familial intervention especially including educating the parents what to do and what NOT to do. This includes not taking your son to the scene of the extreme traumatic event, while forcing him to confront something for which he obviously needed extensive continued mental health treatment. The police were highly negligent regarding how they handled the issue with the level of care the child warranted. I expected a sci-fi horror movie and instead it was a film about some of the worst possible ways to handle a situation involving complex trauma with a child, with a family that has abundant access to wealth and resources, therefore constituting medical mental health negligence. Not to mention a scene that even if the child imagined it, was extremely difficult to watch regarding child abuse. "
