"3.5⭐️ It may be about a different company but if you watched Dopesick or PainKiller you know how this story goes. It’s being touted as a fem Wolf of Wall Street though, which I don’t really see. It’s not nearly as debauched or manic and Emily Blunt’s character is much more sympathetic. What this movie highlights that none of the above really do in this way is the disparity of the haves and have nots and what would you do if presented with a way to solve all your problems overnight as well as lift your psyche from desperate failure to huge success. How do you turn away from that opportunity? EB is stunning in the role of someone down on her luck and in dire circumstances. So this film is not just about the greedy nature of humans when placed in over abundant circumstances. But of course greed IS what big pharma is about and you can’t have a movie about it and not convey that. It may not be the best of the bunch but I liked the nuance that not everyone is diabolically evil. Plus Catherine O’Hara! "

"This was a solid movie. My one complaint would be that it didn't really bring anything new to the table, at least not for me. Though not about Purdue Pharma, the story doesn't stray too far from the gist of the their similar situation. I guess the main point would be to say: this isn't an isolated situation with one pharmaceutical company and we need to be careful with our doctors. 7/10🍿

"I enjoyed this movie and the actors chosen in it were to perfection! This movie was based on a true story and honestly I had no idea about the scheme that was going on in the real life, but this movie really opened my eyes to the world of medication and it was terrifying how this can even be possible in the world. Overall great movie very much a learning film there were some scenes here and there where nudity was shown so thats why I rated it what I did. "

"For whatever reason this movie was interesting a fun watch but like the casting seem off to me especially for Chris Evans I am a mega super fan of Chris Evans but I have no clue what he is doing picking the roles he has had picked from himself we do not talk about the gray man here. That being said you can literally put Emily blunt and Catherine o hara in anything and they will ******* kill it.my husband thought this had wannabe wolf of wall street vibes and after he said that it definitely brought even lower on the ranking for me because I totally gor thise vibes as well. Not saying it's a bad movie but also not saying it's amazing movie either ."

Dopesick opened my eyes and I just watched Usher which played with the evil going on in the pharmaceutical game. Pain Hustlers is cookie cutter rise, fall and redemption. Emily Blunt’s work was why I enjoyed this. "
