"an absolute riot of fun. it's like a b movie compared to rrr but it works.I would argue to say it's ideologically driven maybe even more so than woke hollywood but with all the chaos of indan cinema it doesn't feel forced as much as it feels campy with some of the messages going so far as to feel like you're watching a PBS advert telling people the importance of voting. a weird wild adventure that honestly needs to treat the film as a pilot episode for a 2 season release consisting of 16 episodes 1 hour 20 minutes each."

"A very entertaining viewing experience overall despite some pacing issues. Themes explored by this film remind me a lot of some earlier films directed by S. Shankar (particularly ANNIYAN (2005), SIVAJI: THE BOSS (2007), MUDHALVAN (1999) and INDIAN (1996)). The film largely works thanks to an extremely charismatic performance by Shah Rukh Khan, along with an entertaining performance by Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist. Also has a fantastic score by Anirudh (he’s on a roll this year between this and the Rajinikanth film JAILER)."
